Life is a Sunflower.
Today when I was working, Mum came along – I think to her, I’m her Sunflower.
To everyone and anyone, they all have their own Sunflowers.
To the cleaner on the street, his Sunflower must be his family.
To the busy business man rushing on the streets, his Sunflower? Probably his latest contract deals and the many connections.
To musicians, their Sunflowers must be their music careers.
And to engineers, their Sunflowers must be creating and inventing new stuff.
To teachers, their Sunflower… Mmmh, must be teaching and developing the younger generation.
To Chinese, perhaps our Sunflowers is drinking tea.
To Singaporeans, our Sunflower must be complaining.
To parents, their Sunflowers will be their kids.
Maybe to my elder brother, his Sunflower is his girlfriend (I’m not sure though).
To Aloysius, maybe his Sunflower is gaming – that’s no doubt.
To Sausage (that’s the name of my house pet), Mum is his Sunflower.
To me, mmmh I’m still thinking.
As the maker of Charlie and Chocolate Factory states
“If you are interested in something, no matter what it is, go at it at full speed ahead. Embrace it with both arms, hug it, love it and above all become passionate about it. Lukewarm is no good. Hot is no good either. White hot and passionate is the only thing to be.”
What about you? What is your Sunflower?
